摘要: Congenital intracranial tumors are rare. If such a lesion is detected before birth, it usually an incidental finding on fetal ultrasonography. The definition of "congenital" tumor controversial. authors report the case "definite" congenital glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) diagnosed with aid ultrasonography and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging in 37th week gestation. Postnatal MR revealed massive occupying patient's left temporoparietooccipital area. Angiography was performed to assess vascularity embolize main feeding arteries. Surgery performed, successfully excised completely. histopathological diagnosis GBM. An examination cells no p53 accumulation, high MIB-1 index (87.5%), staining for epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Adjuvant chemotherapy administered, patient doing well at 23 months age. GBM should be considered differential cases which study or image reveals tumor, especially presence intratumoral hemorrhage. Radical removal, administration adjuvant therapy, biological findings (such as lack overexpression EGFR cells) all point longer survival time.
