摘要: Abstract Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) is a 38-kDa nuclear protein expressed in thyroid follicular cells, human fetal lung, and, after birth, Type II epithelial cells of alveoli and subset bronchial cells. Expression TTF-1 was documented neoplasms arising from that normally produce this factor. In the present study, series surgically resected non-small cell lung carcinomas (NSCLCs) evaluated for expression protein, correlation between patient survival retrospectively tested. Ninety-six patients with primary NSCLC underwent surgical resection 1987 1992. All tissue specimens these were examined by immunohistochemical analysis. Tumor immunoreactivity categorized into three groups (-, +, ++), according to percentage reactive The relationship postsurgical analyzed 88 [60 squamous (SCCs) 28 adenocarcinomas (ACs)]. stain always limited nuclei. Of 96 NSCLC, 59 (61%) scored as -, 20 (21%) 17 (18%) ++. significantly higher ACs than SCCs (P < .0001). Survival curves among ++ different (log rank test, P = .04). Multivariate analysis showed NSCLCs group associated poor prognosis .009), independent node .01) or stage status .0006). When subsets SCC AC separately analyzed, found have an prognostic value only results study suggest closely relates clinical outcome, especially SCC.
