摘要: PURPOSE This study was designed to investigate whether the antiinflammatory and antiproliferative activity of oral intravitreal methotrexate (MTX) suppresses intraocular inflammation in patients with presumed latent syphilitic uveitis tuberculosis-related uveitis. METHODS Interventional prospective including three cases treated intravenous penicillin MTX, two standard antituberculosis therapy MTX injections. Treatment efficacy all assessed by best-corrected visual acuity, fundus fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography. RESULTS Four eyes 3 had improved suppression inflammation, resolution cystoid macular edema 6 months therapy. No recurrence observed 18 follow-up period after cessation MTX. Two showed injections 8 antituberculous CONCLUSION For first time treatment uveitis, we believe that might have an adjunctive role suppress reduce uveitic edema, prevent recurrences diseases.
