Bridge to heart transplantation: the Penn State experience.

摘要: At The Pennsylvania State University, we have performed four bridge-to-heart transplantation procedures in the past year. Two patients were supported with an LVAD, and two a TAH. One patient had successful remains well 10 months after operation; died of sepsis transplantation. A fourth has TAH place for greater than 110 days is currently awaiting problems that remain to be solved are developing strategies minimize risk infection, defining indications use LVAD vs BVAD TAH, effective regimen prevent thromboembolism, determining proper interval insertion mechanical pump as bridge.
