摘要: Increasingly effective systemic chemotherapy has improved responses in patients with previously unresectable colorectal hepatic metastases. In the future, response to may define a new population of that benefit from resection. A retrospective review determine safety and effectiveness potentially curative resection metastatic. carcinoma after identified 11 such resections between July 1987 October 1991. Five had disease confined liver, two limited extrahepatic metastases, recurrences previous metastasectomy, initially resectable liver These were resected mean 8 months chemotherapy. Complications, usually minor, occurred five (45%). There no deaths. Three are free at 15, 18, 31 (mean 21) Eight have recurred median time recurrence months. subsequently died recurrent disease. This study suggests following can be performed safely selected patients. © 1992 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
