Validation of the Spanish translation of the Patient Assessment of Chronic Illness Care (PACIC) survey.

摘要: Introduction The Patient Assessment of Chronic Illness Care (PACIC) survey is a patient-centered instrument for evaluating the quality and patient-centeredness chronic illness care received according to Model paradigm. This study validates Spanish translation PACIC in an urban, Spanish-speaking population. Methods One hundred patients with diabetes completed translated sociodemographic cultural questionnaires. Test-retest reliability was assessed subset 20 who questionnaire 2 4 months later. Internal consistency evaluated Cronbach alpha. score subscale associations characteristics were examined. Results overall scale 0.77. Scores not associated patient characteristics, including age, country birth, years living United States, or education level (P >.05).
