摘要: Sequence repeats are an important phenomenon in the human genome, playing roles genomic alteration often with phenotypic consequences. The two major types of repeat elements genome tandem (TRs) including microsatellites, minisatellites, and satellites transposable (TEs). So far, very little has been known about relationship between these repeats. In this study, we identified TRs that derived from TEs either based on sequence similarity or overlapping positions. We then analyzed distribution among TE families/subfamilies. Our study shows at least 7,276 TRs 23% all minisatellites/satellites is TEs, contributing ∼0.32% genome. seem to be generated more likely younger/more active once initiated they expanded time via local duplication units. currently postulated mechanisms for origin can explain only 6% TE-derived TRs, indicating presence one yet initiation such result suggests expansion not by transposition but also generating
