摘要: Abstract Introduction Japanese encephalitis (JE) is a rare but potentially severe disease among travelers. JE vaccine in the United States costs $500–$600 for 2-dose series and safe effective serious adverse events can occur. Our survey investigated likelihood of receipt travel. Methods An electronically-administered was conducted U.S. adults. Participants were presented hypothetical scenario on travel to JE-endemic country characteristics responded vaccination. Results Overall, 6384 (59%) 10,904 persons completed questions. Population estimates indicated 32% would be likely 42% unlikely vaccinated, 26% unsure. Among those get important factors risk severity, safety. unlikely, cost, risk, possibility side effects ranked highest. Conclusions There population heterogeneity perception value
