摘要: Recent evidence of genome-wide transcription in several species indicates that the amount occurs cannot be entirely accounted for by current sets annotations. Evidence most both strands human genome might transcribed, implying extensive overlap transcriptional units and regulatory elements. These observations suggest genomic architecture is not colinear, but instead interleaved modular, same sequences are multifunctional: is, used multiple independently regulated transcripts as regions. What implications consequences such an terms increased information content, complexity, evolution disease states?
