摘要: Abstract We have evaluated the toxicity profile of a unique immunomodulator, neem leaf glycoprotein (NLGP) on different physiological systems Swiss mice and Sprague Dawley rats. NLGP injection, even in higher doses than effective concentration caused no behavioral changes animals death. injection increased body weights slightly without any change organ weights. showed adverse effect hematological system. Moreover, little hematostimulation was noticed, as evidenced by hemoglobin content, leukocyte count lymphocyte numbers. Histological assessment organs revealed alterations microstructure treated normalcy liver kidney further confirmed enzymes like alkaline phosphatase, SGOT, SGPT nephrological products urea creatinine. has apoptotic immune cells but induces proliferation mononuclear collected from Number CD4 + , CD8 T cells, DX5 NK CD11b macrophages CD11c dendritic is upregulated significant CD25 Foxp3 regulatory cells. Type 1 cytokines, IFNγ also serum with decrease type 2 cytokines. Total IgG especially IgG2a mice. These directed help to create an anti-tumor environment that results restriction carcinoma growth Accumulated evidence strongly suggests non-toxic nature NLGP. Thus, it can be recommended for human use anti-cancer therapy.
