摘要: Lake Tana is the largest lake in Ethiopia, and its outflowis source of BlueNile River that provides vital water resources for many livelihoods downstream/international stakeholders. Therefore, it essential to quantify monitor balance Tana. However, poorly gauged, with more than 50% Basin being ungauged from in-situ measurements, making difficult inflow surrounding basins. The lack measurements highlights need innovative application satellite remote sensing. This study explores how freely accessible sensing can be used complement routine weather data catchments. particularly investigates whether outflow estimated sufficient accuracy as residual balance. Monthly into was computed total runoff catchments; land-based catchment using precipitation improved an integrated downscaling-calibration procedure, evapotranspiration, a correction term changes land storage (soil moisture deep percolation). by combining satellite-based precipitation, storage, evaporation. Evaluation limited available showed annual two gauged subbasins agreed well differences within 4%. also close measured outflow, difference 12%. monthly catchments were unsatisfactory, large errors.
