摘要: Herein we report the first molecular description of pyruvate dehydrogenase component higher plant plastid complex. The full-length cDNAs for E1 alpha (1530 bp) and beta (1441 subunits Arabidopsis thaliana contain open reading frames that encode polypeptides 428 406 amino acids, respectively, with calculated weight values 47,120 44,208. deduced acid sequences have 61% 68% identity to odpA odpB genes red alga Porphyra purpurea, but only 31% 32% mitochondrial counterparts. Results Southern analyses suggest each subunit is encoded by a single gene. Northern blot indicate expression mRNAs appropriate size in leaves.
