摘要: Plasmopara invertifolia sp. nov. causes severe leaf distortion and necrosis on Helichrysum bracteatum, a beautiful important ornamental plant for trade in Brazil. This oomycete pathogen is distinguished from other species of Asteraceae by its smaller sporangia larger sporangiophores, which justifies the proposition new taxon genus to accommodate it. The phylogenetic analysis cox2 gene sequence data supports such placement also shows that P. close halstedii complex. then described, illustrated discussed.
