摘要: Widespread acceptance of laparoscopic urology techniques has posed many challenges to training residents and allowing postgraduate urologists acquire often difficult new surgical skills. Several factors in programs are limiting the ability train operating room, including limited-hours work weeks, increasing demand for room productivity, general public awareness medical errors. As such, simulation may provide an opportunity enhance residency experience training, optimize post-graduate acquisition skills maintenance competency. This review article explains defines various levels validity as it pertains simulators. The most recently comprehensively tested simulators outlined summarized. potential role formative summative assessment trainees, well as, certification recertification process surgeons will be delineated. Surgical important adjunct traditional methods allow maintain their proficiency technically challenging aspects minimally invasive urologic surgery.
