摘要: The All-Wales Community Mental Health Nurse Stress Study was the largest study undertaken in UK to date investigate stress, burnout and coping amongst CMHN workforce. aim of examine variety, frequency severity stressors, describe strategies used reduce work-based determine stress outcomes. Questionnaires were sent out 614 CMHNs from ten NHS Trusts throughout Wales. response rate 49% (n = 301). measures included Maslach Human Services Survey, CPN Questionnaire, Psychnurse Methods Coping Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale General Questionnaire GHQ-12. mental health nurses indicated that trying maintain a good quality service midst long waiting lists, poor resources, having too many interruptions while work office particularly stressful items. utilized most stable home life looking forward going at end day, outside interests hobbies talking people they got on well with. Forty per cent tended view themselves negatively, feeling others did not hold much respect for them. GHQ-12 measure 35% had crossed threshold psychiatric caseness. Measured against normative sample workers, 51% experiencing high levels long-term emotional exhaustion. Twenty-four suffering depersonalization relating clients, whilst 14% severe feelings lack personal accomplishment. results provided us with picture Addressing these factors may help experienced burnout.
