摘要: Background and Objectives: Pneumonia is the inflammation of parenchyma lungs. It strictly represents any inflammatory condition that involves lungs along with visceral pleura, airways, alveoli, connective tissues vascular structures. The objective study was to see efficacy vitamin D in children pneumonia. Material Methods: A randomized control conducted Department Pediatric Medicine, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan. One hundred patients pneumonia received appropriate antibiotics one were treated but without D. discharged after fast breathing chest drawing settled. duration hospital stay noted. They followed up for next 90 days discharge from new episode noted recorded. Results: mean number recovery similar between group receiving (5.7 ± 2.7 days) not (6.1 2.8days), (p=0.28). While comparing repeat within three months, significantly lower intervention (2%) than supplementation (9%; p = 0.002) 30 Conclusion: Vitamin a single dose diagnosed as reduces occurrence episodes month discharge.
