摘要: BACKGROUND The relative importance of various risk factors varies in different regions India. This was a retrospective study patients with recently diagnosed coronary artery disease to assess four major factors: dyslipidemia, hypertension, smoking and diabetes. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total 5748 (4952 males, 796 females) were analysed from the records Heart Hospital along 8103 controls (6092 males 2011 females). Absolute lipid levels as well prevalence dyslipidemia using ATP III guidelines assessed. They classified into two groups premature CAD (males or = 45 years, females > 55 years). RESULTS most common pattern chronic stable angina (n=2773, 48.24%). Mean cholesterol (TC), LDL TC/HDL ratio significantly higher subjects compared without controls. mean HDL triglyceride similar both groups. Elevated cholesterol, decreased elevated abnormal ratios more (38.8% vs. 33.14%, 29.3% vs 18.2%, 36.9% 32.5% 59.05% 44.3% respectively). However abnormalities not non-CAD group. Smoking (30.97% 12.72%) (P those (p < 0.01). CONCLUSION Among assessed, (particularly cholesterol), hypertension diabetes associated decreasing order prevalence. In CAD, (in males) are particular importance.
