摘要: Purpose Chemical exchange saturation transfer MRI can provide accurate pH images, but the slow scan time (due to long periods and multiple offsets sampling) reduce both volume coverage spatial resolution capability, hence possibility interrogate heterogeneity in tumors organs. To overcome these limitations, we propose a fast multislice CEST-MRI sequence with high accuracy resolution. Methods The first uses pulse induce steady-state CEST contrast second short repeated after each image acquisition compensate for signal losses based on an uneven irradiation scheme combined single-shot rapid refocusing echoes readout. Sequence sensitivity measuring was optimized by simulation assessed vitro studies pH-varying phantoms. In vivo validation performed two applications acquiring images covering whole kidneys iopamidol injection. Results Simulated data showed comparable efficiency responsiveness reducing time. experimental from homogeneous, pH-varying, iopamidol-containing phantom show that produced uniform across slices values less than 10 minutes. measurements allowed us quantify 3D gradients of kidneys, ranges literature. Conclusion proposed allows volumetric acquisitions good sensitivity, accuracy, several imaging applications.
