摘要: Although a role for vitamin A in immunity to infectious diseases has long been suggested, only the last decade have epidemiological, immunologic, and molecular studies yielded substantial evidence central role. The recent discovery of retinoic acid retinoid X receptors provided basis action its metabolites at level gene activation. At least dozen clinical trials now demonstrated that supplementation reduces severe morbidity mortality from among children who acute measles or are areas which deficiency is endemic. Vitamin an immunodeficiency disorder characterized by widespread alterations immunity, including pathological mucosal surfaces, impaired antibody responses challenge with protein antigens, changes lymphocyte subpopulations, altered T- B-cell function. immune enhancers shown potentiate T cell-dependent increase proliferation antigens mitogens, inhibit apoptosis, restore integrity function surfaces. related retinoids may potential applications therapy some diseases.
