Serum amyloid A and TNF alpha in serum and milk during experimental endotoxin mastitis.

摘要: A cross-over study was conducted to investigate the effect of intramammarily infused lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on acute phase reaction in early (EL) and late (LL) lactation. Nine cows received intramammary injections 100 µg Escherichia coli 0111:B4 LPS during EL LL. The severity each systemic local signs change milk appearance were recorded scored throughout experiment. Systemic found be more serious cows. Tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) detected but not serum. Serum amyloid (SAA) concentrations increased both serum milk. TNFα peaked at 8 h post-challenge (PC). SAA started increase PC, peak seen 32 48 PC serum, respectively. seemed correlated, being average higher EL. concentration correlated with or SAA, nor signs, changes appearance. / mastitis dairy cow
