Behaviour patterns and time course of activity in dogs with separation problems

摘要: Abstract An analysis of video-recordings 20 dogs with separation problems suggested that behaviour may be divided into: (1) exploratory behaviour, (2) object play including elements predatory (3) destructive and (4) vocalization. Elimination reported by other authors was found in one case only. Separation related to the level arousal. A clear distinction between `destructive' `howlers' not justified. Object seemed closely behaviour. model for time course activity from owner's departure developed. The includes two components: a cyclic component having period 23–28 min controlled internal factors, long-term exponential decrease, which influenced external factors arousing dog. results supported view are caused frustration dependency on owner, whereas they disobedience or boredom. turn lead arousal, increased fear disinhibition leading also indicated barking howling whining reflect presence fear.
