摘要: We review optical label-free biosensing platforms based on planar waveguides with their operation principles and performance characteristics. As the building blocks of refractometric transducers plasmonic devices, are widely adopted to be core sensing for assay biological chemical interactions due high sensitivity invulnerability external noise such as electromagnetic interference. The scope includes schemes conventional dielectric waveguides, reverse symmetry anti-resonant reflecting (ARROW), metal-clad leaky (MCLW). configurations systems features will discussed together recent development progress. In particular, we address in more detail waveguide MCLW biosensors which have a capability detecting micrometer-scale objects.
