Effects of Social Needs, Social Influences and Convenience on Smartphones Dependency

摘要: This study aims to examine the effect of social needs, influences and convenience smartphone on students’ dependency smartphones. A total 200 completed usable questionnaires were received from respondents which comprises students one public higher institution in Federal Territory Labuan, Malaysia by utilizing simple random sampling method. Results via analysis structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed that all proposed hypotheses supported. Social needs found be strongest effect. Students heavily actively use stay connected with friends family through networking web sites such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace etc. Smartphone allow them those they care about. Based findings, implications are discussed paper directions for future research also highlighted.
