摘要: Purpose To demonstrate that the time delay between phase and frequency encoding presence of pulsatile blood flow in high-resolution time-of-flight (TOF) imaging intracranial arteries (especially near circle Willis) can distort appearance vessels result a cross-hatch—appearing artifact surrounding tissue. Materials Methods Two techniques to reduce artifact, tri-directional compensation (3DFC) elliptical-centric (EC) phase-encoding order, are investigated five volunteer studies. Results 3DFC eliminates pulsation-related artifacts vessel distortion. A residual amplitude variation is observed. EC nearly motion-related but it does not eliminate distortion. Conclusion The combination 3DFC appears provide greatest reduction studies performed. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2003;18:121–127. © 2003 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
