摘要: BACKGROUND We evaluated brain tissue oxygen pressure (PO 2 ), carbon dioxide (PCO and pH during regional ischemia produced by temporary artery occlusion. METHODS This 45-year-old woman with cerebral occlusive disease was scheduled for right superficial temporal (STA) to middle (MCA) bypass. Two Paratrend 7 sensors measuring PO , PCO were inserted into the cortex in distribution of MCA at a distance 1 cm from each other. Jugular bulb saturation measured oximetry. Local perfusion flow probe on using laser Doppler. Tissue responses recorded during: (1) 100% ventilation, (2) hypercapnia, (3) an 18 minute occlusion MCA. RESULTS Under baseline conditions, suggested that present both sensors. rose 40%-50% regions ventilation. During blood increased MCA, but local did not increase region 2. ischemic changes seen 1. decreased 80% 2, where seen. CONCLUSIONS These results show are consistent perfusion. The use multiple can detect presence watershed is demonstrated jugular measurement.
