摘要: Abstract Pineal serotonin N -acetyltransferase activity and HIOMT (hydroxyindole- O -methyl-transferase) were measured in chicks (White Leghorn Gallus domesticus ) over a period of 8 weeks from the day hatching. The measurements made at two time points on selected days: one point was taken during light portion birds' environmental lighting regime, other dark (1000 1600, respectively, an LD12 : 12 cycle with lights-off 1200 lights-on 2400). There no dramatic differences between any day, though enzyme rose steadily age. Changes always seen versus dark. Dark-time higher than light-time activity. This includes initial exposure to 2 after also pineal glands chick embryos kept 12. In incubated for 17 19 days dark-time values almost twice values.
