High-performance liquid chromatography determination of rare earth elements in solutions from solvent extraction process

摘要: Dynamic ion exchange has been used for rapid separation (15 min) and determination of rare earth elements (REE) in samples coming from semi-processed monazitic sand, after a heavy fraction by solvent extraction. In this study the hydrochloric acid solutions containing REE were injected into mobile phase (α-hydroxyisobutiric acid) presence hydrophobic ions on C18 bonded silica reversed-phase column. The eluted monitored visible spectrophotometry at 535 nm post-column reaction with pyridylazoresorcinol. partition system is adequate to separate detect all good reproducibility. This method gave improved column efficiency metal greater flexibility choice conditions. results obtained present showed reproducibility sensitivity may be considered reliable enough routine quality control procedure. Comparison values high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) agreement elements.
