摘要: Abstract Results of magnetic, transport and dilatometric studies the Er(Co1− xSix)2 compounds (for x ⩽ 0.15) in ambient elevated pressures are presented. The Si substitution for Co yields a dramatic increase Tc although room-temperature lattice volume does not change. first-order magnetic phase transition at observed ErCo2 persists 0.075. large resistivity drop just below negative magnetoresistance accompanying field-induced metamagnetic above attributed to Fermi surface reconstruction quenching 3d spin fluctuations due moment formation. Formation is reflected also pronounced expansion. resistivity, thermal expansion anomalies progressively reduced with increasing (and external pressure), which can be conceived moment. Application hydrostatic pressure causes reduction rate ∂ ln Tc/∂p ∼ − 30 Mbar−1 all studied compounds.
