摘要: Thin-walled structures are major energy-absorbing components on the vehicle for crashworthiness. Most of past and current research works such focused their behaviour under single simple loading conditions as axial impact, deformation mode/failure combined complex much less studied. In this paper, we used numerical models to analyze structural response performance a novel octagonal thin-walled sandwich tube oblique impact at various angles. The effect key geometric parameters (internal reinforced plate thickness t1 external wall t2) overall (i.e. specific energy absorption peak crush force) was discussed in detail.
