摘要: Objective Proficient open surgical treatment of cerebral aneurysms requires extensive training and practice. This study tested the validity a human placenta aneurysm model for simulation clipping. Methods There were 30 participants divided into 3 groups (n = 10 per group) according to their neurosurgical experience: low experience, intermediate attending. Subjective measures collected using Aneurysm Clipping Participant Survey 27). by observing 30) work through series clipping tasks while 2 independent raters evaluated them newly developed standardized tool, Structured Assessment Skills. Results In terms subjective face validity, most attending group (7/10; 70%) rated models as “somewhat” “very well” replicating real surgery. Content assessment showed that it could improve following skills: microdissection technique (27/27; 100%), use clip appliers when applied patients (25/27; 93%). The objective measure construct demonstrated mean Skills scores between (low-experience group, 22.9 ± 5.4; intermediate-experience 32.8 4.0; 43.3 1.3) differed significantly (P Conclusions is useful tool teaching residents, with evidence internal consistency face, content, validities. scale feasible assess skills quantitatively.
