摘要: Evidence suggests that the peptides galanin (GAL) and neuropeptide Y (NPY) interact with amine norepinephrine (NE) in hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN) to stimulate feeding behavior. To directly investigate nature of these interactions, extracellular levels PVN NE were monitored freely-moving rats using microdialysis/HPLC technique. Following administration GAL (0.3 nmol), NPY (78 pmol) or Ringer's solution, local measured at 20-min intervals for 2 hrs postinjection, under two conditions, namely, presence absence food. The results demonstrate different effects on endogenous levels. administration, enhanced by 80 90%, up 40 min independent food availability. In contrast, following injection, significantly reduced 20 postinjection absent, when was available, tended be enhanced. These results, consistent pharmacological biochemical studies, reveal patterns peptide-amine interactions PVN.
