摘要: A competitive polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based assay for the quantitative detection of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) viremia was developed and optimized. This method consists reverse transcription subsequent amplification in same tube two similar RNA templates, wild-type template to be quantified a known amount internally deleted synthetic template, both with identical primer recognition sites. The strategy also proved useful HIV-1-specific cellular transcripts proviral DNA sequences from peripheral blood mononuclear cells by using competitor DNA. might interest study precise level HIV-1 activity during different clinical phases infection simple, fast, methodologically correct molecular investigation patients treated specific antiviral compounds.
