摘要: The Nicalon silicon carbide fibre has been studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Elements entering the are carbon, and oxygen. In addition to previously reported chemical entities (silicon carbide, silica graphitic carbon) evidence is found of presence a new supplementary phase which attributed an intermediate oxycarbide phase. As this participate in very appreciable proportions composition fibre, some influence on properties can be anticipated.
