摘要: Abstract A small (14S) virus-specific particle, isolated from poliovirus-infected HeLa cells, is able to self-assemble into a 73S particle. This when negatively stained and examined in the electron microscope, resembles empty capsids found infected cells. The kinetics of self-assembly reaction was determined be similar, but not identical, extract-mediated assembly 14S particles particles. reaction, unlike exexhibits marked dependence on initial concentration polypeptide content has been determined.
