摘要: Abstract Although numerous studies have shown potent antiproliferative and differentiation-inducing effects of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D 3 (1,25-(OH) 2 ) its analogs on cells not directly related to bone metabolism, only few reports focussed the these bone. We compared action several recently developed with that 1,25-(OH) human (MG-63) rat (ROS 17/2.8) osteoblast-like in vitro resorption. In MG-63 EB1089 KH1060 were about 166,000 14,000 times more than stimulating type I procollagen 100 6,000 osteocalcin production, respectively. Also ROS 17/2.8 most inducing synthesis. resorption was 2.3 17.5 potently stimulated by KH1060, cells, inhibited cell proliferation, whereas both growth cells. Differences potency could neither be explained affinity for vitamin receptor nor a differential involvement protein kinase C analogs. Together, data show also are but is dependent biological response. On basis observations it can concluded reported reduced calcemic effect vivo result decreased responsiveness Lastly, view eventual clinical application -analogs, observed stimulation an osteosarcoma line warrant further examine effects.
