摘要: Background Botulism is a naturally occurring disease, mainly caused by the ingestion of food contaminated botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs). Botulinum are most lethal. They classified among six major biological warfare agents Centers for Disease Control. BoNTs act on cholinergic motoneurons, where they cleave proteins implicated in acetylcholine vesicle exocytosis. This exocytosis inhibition induces flaccid paralysis progressively affecting all muscles and generally engendering respiratory distress. also utilized medicine, treatment neuromuscular disorders, preventing large scale vaccination. Botulism specific requires injections antitoxins, usually equine origin thus poorly tolerated. Therefore, development human or human-like neutralizing antibodies interest, it subject European framework project called “AntiBotABE”.
