摘要: Conventional poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) bone cement has been widely used as an useful biopolymeric material to fix using artificial prostheses. However, many patients had be reoperated, due the poor mechanical and thermal properties of conventional PMMA cement, which are derived from presence unreacted MMA liquid, shrinkage bubble formation that occur during curing process high temperature(above 100 °C) used. In present study, a composite was prepared by impregnating with ultra molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) powder, in order improve its properties. The UHMWPE powder adhesion other materials inertness surface. Therefore, surface modified two kinds silane coupling agent containing amino groups(3-amino propyltriethoxysilane(TSL 8331®) andN-(2-aminoethyl)-3-(amino propyltrimethoxysilane)(TSL 8340®)), bonding strength cement. tensile strengths cements 3 wt% surface-modified various ratios TSL 8331® 8340® were similar or little higher than no significant difference between could found. temperatures significantly decreased.
