摘要: Objective Develop a behavioural analysis of factors influencing postnatal physical activity (PA) according to the ‘capability, opportunity, motivation and behaviour’ (COM-B) model behaviour inform intervention development using Behaviour Change Wheel (BCW). Design Cross-sectional, multi-method study semi-structured interviews quantitative questionnaire. Setting Children’s centres mother baby groups in Hertfordshire Cambridgeshire, UK. Participants Convenience samples women were interviewed (n=16) completed questionnaire (n=158). Methods Semi-structured followed preprepared topic guide exploring COM-B components analysed framework analysis. The questionnaire, based on self-evaluation was adapted patient public involvement findings from interviews. Questionnaire participants rated their agreement with 22 predefined statements related components. Mean, SD 95% CI calculated each item categorised importance. Demographic data collected. Results identified that new mothers would be more active if they had time, felt less tired, accessible childcare, part group, advised by healthcare professional, able develop habit motivation. Additional themes emerging qualitative engaging PA other mothers, limited stamina following complicated births, social interaction, enjoyment parental beliefs as motivation, provision child-friendly facilities environments babies’ unpredictable routines. Conclusion presented this paper identifies adds detail range target behaviour. Some are unique population, requiring targeted interventions for women, whereas some individualised, suggesting need individually tailored interventions. We will use design an subsequent steps BCW.
