[Association between non-nutritive sweeteners and obesity risk among university students in Latin America].

摘要: Background: The association between non-nutritive sweeteners and obesity is controversial. Aim: To determine whether the consumption of related to higher risk for overweight or among university students in Chile, Panama, Guatemala Peru. Material methods: A total 1229 (472 from 300 253 204 Peru) male female aged 18 26 years participated study. Each student reported their food intake (frequency weekly consumption) a survey that contained photos foods containing adapted each country. Anthropometry was also measured. Results: More than 80% consumed at least one product sweeteners. Females who ate acesulfame potassium sucralose had lower with an odds ratio (OR) 0.5 (confidence intervals (CI)=0.3-0.9; p=0003) OR=0.4 (IC=0.2-0.8; p=0.01), respectively. Conclusions: In this sample Latinamerican students, associated only females.
