摘要: Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) can be a complication of solid organ transplantation, but with an important incidence rate variability in different geographical areas. Here we analyzed the rate, timing and clinical correlates KS, cohort Italian transplant recipients from four distinct transplantation centers. A total 1721 renal, heart liver were recruited between 1997 2004. KS was diagnosed 40 patients, after median follow up 1 year (range 0.8-5.1). Visceral involvement detected 7/40 patients. Incidence whole population 2.3 cases per 1000 individuals year. The standardized (SIR) for renal 149.9 (95% CI 103.0-212.0), excess risk greater among women (SIR 316.0) than men 133.6). In Cox proportional hazard regression model, age at equal or older 30 years only combined immunosuppressive therapy mycophenolate mofetil + cyclosporine prednisolone independently associated KS. have increased (about 100 times greater) compared to general population, especially during first two transplantation. Age more aggressive regimen both independent factors disease.
