摘要: BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Physical therapy contributes to mitigate temporomandibular disorder symptoms because, in addition stimulating proprioception and the production of joint synovial fluid, it improves adhered muscle fibers elasticity. This study aimed at evaluating stability therapeutic results a follow-up period post- physical patients. METHODS: Participated 25 individuals both genders, with diagnosis. After multimodal program during 10 weeks, which included self-care guidance home exercises, participants were re-evaluated by Research Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders algometry. Results obtained immediately after treatment compared evaluation carried out two months follow-up. RESULTS: From participants, mean age 31.6 years, 76% had no diagnosis from these, 68% have maintained this result two-month period. With regard noises, 60% remained noises pressure pain threshold values statistically significant differences between evaluations. CONCLUSION: Multimodal intervention, combined exercises has produced, study, positive long-lasting effects on symptoms, maintaining completion.
