摘要: MONOSYNAPTIC projections from the cerebral cortex to vestibular nuclei were studied in common marmoset monkey (Callithrix jacchus) by injecting fluorescent dextranes into brain stem nuclei. The injection sites determined single unit responses identified later histologically. During recordings sinewave rotation pitch, roll or yaw steady tilt was applied. most notable loci of labelling found inside primary sensory cortex, deep down along posterior lateral sulcus, premotor region and anterior cingulate cortex. From studies other primates these cortical areas are known process information. Their connections with may serve as an internal feedback modulating activity.
