摘要: Abstract The effect of non-operative base analogues in polynucleotides on the ability to stimulate amino acid incorporation has been studied. Internal changes produce an depending nature and quantity “nonsense” base. A single alteration at nucleoside end polymer markedly inhibits incorporation. Base examined include xanthosine, N 1 -methyluridine, -methyl-5-bromouridine, 6 -hydroxyethyladenosine, -hydroxymethyladenosine, -methyladenosine, -acetylcytidine, -hydroxymethylcytidine. Other variations those obtained by treatment polyribonucleotides with hydroxylamine, a water-soluble carbodi-imide, periodate oxidation. behavior certain is sometimes dependent flanking nucleotides. possible explanation for this given.
