摘要: Silver is used as an antimicrobial agent in wound care products due to its effectiveness against a broad range of bacteria. Despite extensive use silver-containing dressings, silver release measurements vary significantly for instance method and test fluid used, thus making it hard compare results. In addition, existing methods involve the dressing being totally saturated with fluid, this however does not mirror real situation treatment. The aim master thesis develop measuring from dressings that are fully fluid. at different degrees moisture saturation was investigated using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy. order simulate wound-like conditions pieces were pre-wetted certain level placed on acceptor compartment (AC) containing defined amount salts proteins. After incubation, AC digested acid prior analysis ICP-OES. Results show depends used. For deionized water most 19 μg Ag/cm2 obtained. solution A, which consists distilled NaCl CaCl2, 1 found. SWF, fetal calf serum mixed equal peptone water, 4 AC. Measurements performed 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% 100% dependent dressing. A higher seen saturations. Digestion ICP-OES found be satisfactory. Finally, human skin evaluate relevance developed. good agreement between model strengthens developed method.
