D2-40 antibody immunoreactivity in developing human brain, brain tumors and cultured neural cells

摘要: D2-40 antibody is raised against an oncofetal antigen, the M2A antigen. It has been used as a marker for lymphatic endothelium well mesothelioma and cerebellar hemangioblastoma. We demonstrate here that positive immunoreactivity was found in developing cerebrum, particularly germinal matrix layer, immature ependyma, choroid plexus meninges. In cerebellum, external granular layer of outer portion Purkinje cell Some brain tumors such anaplastic ependymoma, some medulloblastomas, glioblastoma, pineal germinoma, craniopharyngioma, papilloma, carcinoma, meningioma showed with D2-40. Therefore, considered useful research on diagnosis tumors, differentiation between carcinoma metastatic carcinoma. addition, cultured human neural cells, nestin-positive stem/progenitor cells neuronal lineage cells. As recognizes surface antigen M2A, it might be candidate isolation stem cells/neuronal fluorescence-activated sorting technique.
