摘要: The purpose of this paper is to provide empirical evidence for policy-makers water management, evaluate the applicability economic variables such as price and other factors that affect demand, determine impact thereof on decision-making surrounding management in El Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve Mexico. We estimated a dynamic function with an average specification, well perception specification. Findings demonstrated consumers tend react perceived but not marginal price. Furthermore, long-term elasticity was found be higher than short-term elasticity, both elasticities were inelastic. Inelastic elasticities, coupled rising prices, generate substantial revenues which improve planning supply quality expand service coverage. results suggest users’ level knowledge key factor take into account when restructuring rates, especially situations where do readily possess necessary information about their rate structure usage within given billing period. can help achieve goals efficiency, social equity, environmental sustainability.
