摘要: This study evaluates the protective role of Clerodendron glandulosum.Coleb (CG) aqueous extract against high fat diet/fatty acid induced lipotoxicity in experimental models non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Supplementation NASH mice with CG (1% and 3% diet for 16 weeks) prevented elevation liver enzymes, plasma hepatic lipids, mitochondrial oxidative stress compromised enzymatic non-enzymatic antioxidant status histopathological damage to hepatocytes. Furthermore, results from vitro indicates, addition (20-200 μg/ml 24h) HepG2 cells minimizes oleic lipid accumulation, higher peroxidation, cytotoxicity reduced cell viability. These vivo studies suggest that has potential preventing fat/fatty NASH.
