摘要: Background: Alcohol intake can have hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic effects in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The present study was designed to investigate the glycemic control of male mellitus from aspect genetic status alcohol metabolism. Methods: One hundred sixty-three men were enrolled study. They all outpatients at Diabetes Center Saiseikai Central Hospital. genotype aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH2) gene each patient determined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP), and divided into those active inactive ALDH2 phenotype. We compared amount habitual clinical data that included physical findings blood chemistry groups. evaluated serum level HbAlc. Results: Of 163 mellitus, 90 had phenotype 73 mean HbAlc group nearly same as group. However, HbA1c light-to-moderate drinkers (1-400 g/week) highest significantly higher than diabetic complications without both incidence 24 hr urinary C-peptide respective Conclusions: Habitual worsens who on suggested increased acetaldehyde after drinking may increase value insulin-resistant condition resulted hyperinsulinemia.
