摘要: Right- and left-sided colorectal cancers (RSCRC LSCRC, respectively) are different developmentally, genetically prognostically. Clinical data also indicate that they respond differently to anti-EGFR therapies. The role of EGFR protein expression in KRAS wild type cancer is controversial. Here we have used a cohort antibody treated KRAS-wild patients (n = 97) analyse the prognostic relation sidedness. In our copy number, determined by FISH, was not associated with level protein, assessed immunohistochemistry measured H-scoring. There significantly higher H-score detected RSCRC as compared LSCRC primary tumors (p = 0.04). Furthermore, proportion cases (n = 31) metastatic tissues were available their analysis found metastases (p = 0.018). Kaplan Meyer survival demonstrated therapies more effective case RSCRC. Although progression-free just indicated trend (p = 0.065), overall difference significant favouring (p = 0.047). These for first time RSLCL LSCRC. Meanwhile it somewhat unexpected lower be better efficacy cancer, finding which must further validated.
