摘要: Abstract Objective Post herpetic neuralgia is a chronic, debilitating pain with very few management options and often refractory to treatment. We present our experience series of 4 patients who underwent subcutaneous peripheral field stimulation for treatment thoracic post neuropathic pain. Methods Four intractable were operated after maximum medical neuropsychological evaluation. Multiple percutaneous electrodes placed in the plane region 7-day trial. Following successful trial (more than 50% reduction pain), then internalized attached pulse generator. Visual analog scores (VAS) studied during preoperative, immediate postoperative last follow-up visits. Long-term results determined by retrospective review records. Average period was 28.2 months. Results All showed persistent improvement their VAS an average more 75%. There no failures complication requiring re-operation reported. Conclusion Peripheral safe effective method relief extremely complex problem solutions. Patient selection proper lead placement most important success
